I was using the dev version of the hspace graphical client and all was well, but then the harddrive started running constantly for some reason, I'm not sure why. So I clicked disconnect in the menu and close. The server seemed to crash at that exact time, so I'm guessing either the client's disconnect is bugged, or the server side code for dealing with disconnect is bugged. I also noticed that when I hit close the client seemed to freeze and I had to end task. I don't know if this is reproducable or not as the server has not yet come back up for me to see.

Edit: It just happened again, only this time I wasn't tryiing to disconnect or anything, it just happened randomly. Also, a few minutes before that the harddrive started spinning like I said before, but it just froze my laptop, not server side, I restarted the computer, restarted it and it was fine for several minutes, then the game crashed again, the only thing I can imagine doing this is the hsclient as it's the only new factor.
